Recording and permissions
Recording starts only after you tap Record and grant microphone access. A foreground recording notification provides controls to pause, resume or save while another app is open or the screen is locked. The app does not record phone calls.
- Microphone: needed to capture audio when you start a recording.
- Notifications: allow visible recording controls outside the app. On supported Android versions, you may decline notifications and manage this permission in Android Settings.
- Foreground microphone service: keeps a user-started recording active. It does not start recording at boot or without your action.
The app does not request contacts, precise location, phone-call access or broad storage access. Please obtain permission from other people before recording them where required.
What C.I Dev collects
C.I Dev does not collect or receive recordings, notes, markers, device identifiers or app usage data through the app. There are no advertising, analytics, cloud recording or transcription services in this release. Audio processing and playback take place on your device.
Storage, recovery and deletion
Audio is saved as PCM WAV files in the app's private storage, together with names, notes and markers. The app periodically updates the audio file so it can attempt recovery after an interruption. Recovery is not a substitute for a separate backup and cannot guarantee audio that was never written successfully.
Automatic cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for app data. You can delete individual recordings from their detail screens. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data. Export important recordings before uninstalling or changing devices.
Sharing and exporting
Sharing and exporting are optional. They occur only after you select an Android app or file destination. A selected app, storage provider or recipient may handle the copy under its own privacy practices. C.I Dev does not choose those destinations or receive a copy. Deleting a recording in this app does not delete previously shared or exported copies; remove them separately from their destinations.
Support messages
If you email calebiker7@gmail.com, the information you choose to include is used to respond to your support request. Avoid attaching private recordings unless you specifically want to share them for support.
Children and changes to this policy
This app is intended for general users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal information. Material changes to app data practices will be reflected in an updated policy and date here.
